These savory cheese topped potatoes are great with a barbecue or as a side dish with any choice of meat.
What You Will Need:
4 medium baking potatoes
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
1/4 cup of milk
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
A dash of salt
Grated cheddar cheese
What To Do:
Scrub the skins of the potatoes to remove any dirt. Wrap potatoes in foil wrap and place into your oven. Bake at 400 C for about 1 hours. A toothpick can be pushed all the way through once they are baked.
Once potatoes are baked remove from oven and foil and cut in half. Scoop out potatoes with a spoon into a bowl.
Mash potatoes with butter until smooth. Add milk and stir. Add the remaining ingredients except for the cheese and stir into the potatoes.
Spoon the mashed potato back into the empty potato skins. Place on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with cheese. Place them back into the oven and bake for another 20 - 30 minutes at 350 C.

These garlic mashed potatoes are a great side dish with any meat of your choice. Also delicious drizzled with gravy.
What You Will Need:
4 large potatoes

2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 large stalk of green onion chopped
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
Bacon bits ( real or simulated )
What To Do:
Peel and cut potatoes into equal size pieces so they cook evenly. Put potatoes into a cooking pot and cover with water, about 1 inch over the potatoes. Bring water to a boil. Salt to taste - if desired - just a sprinkle will do. Cook potatoes for 20 -25 minutes or until tender.
Once potatoes are cooked drain and mash with butter until creamy. Add milk and stir. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Spoon out and serve.
